Terms of Service

1. The Service

ExplainShot uses AI to generate explanations of images you submit. Outputs are generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on ExplainShot for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content you do not have the right to share.
• Submit illegal content, CSAM, or content that violates others' rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the service.
• Use the app to harass, defraud, or harm others.

You are solely responsible for the screenshots you submit.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Free trials (if offered) convert to paid subscriptions automatically unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their policies.

4. Intellectual Property

The app, branding, and original content are owned by ExplainShot. You retain rights to images you submit. AI-generated explanations are provided to you for personal use.

5. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExplainShot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
